First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit my site, I hope that my photographs have pleased your eye and in some way stirred your emotions. I was raised in a small country town called Appin, which resides 15 minutes from the edge of Sydney's sprawl. At age 8 I was given my very first camera, after breaking my Dad's Konica SLR! That little Haminex camera was my companion on all my adventures as a child and while none of the images I took with it are good enough to post here I can still look back and can see that I was using photographic principles which I did not learn until much later. I have no idea what happened to that little camera but needless to say it was eventually replaced by a Pentax film SLR.
It was with this camera that I realised my love for photography and many of the images I took with that camera are still what I call 'keepers'. Eventually my skills outgrew the camera's abilities and frustration with labs and processing led me to a digital SLR. I have never looked back, digital photography allows me to have complete creative control of all aspects of shooting, processing and printing.
I currently reside in Newcastle, New South Wales with my wife and two cats. Most of the images on this site are from the wonderful part of the world called the Hunter Valley though there are many from my travels around this state.
